So I'm back in Squamish working in Admissions and downtown but all the student are gone!!! It's so weird having two months off for the Olympics. It's so quite around campus.
But so many of the students are doing some exciting things during this break. Some went to Argentina to learn Spanish, some went to Borneo to do some environmental research, others are taking an Winter's Hazard course in which they are having some hands-on learning with the wild weather conditions in the mountains, and the basketball teams are taking a few courses up on campus while they finish the season.
There are also a handful of students working or volunteering for the Olympics. Also, some are starting their semester's abroad, like my friend Sarah who just arrived in Sweden last week.
I'll keep you posted on all that's happening during this break.
